Product description

DUO stands on slender metal legs, leaving an open gap between the frame and the floor. The frame is rectangular and the armrests are narrow, so the outline remains consistent from the top of the armrest to the edge of the seat cushion. The base is visible through the design, and the floor continues underneath the sofa.

The seat consists of two wide cushions that divide the surface in half and extend from armrest to armrest. The loose back cushions are full and movable: when placed at the back, they keep the seating depth open, and when pulled forward, they shorten it. Smaller loose cushions provide lumbar and arm support.

The open base makes the three-seater manageable even in a room with limited floor space. DUO can be placed against a wall or in the middle of a room, and in both positions, the frame appears as a distinct piece.

The upholstery of the DUO sofa is removable.
Materials

The frame is made of plywood and softwood – materials that maintain their shape year after year. These form the invisible foundation of the sofa – the part that supports everything else. The seat base has no-sag springs, which distribute weight evenly across the entire width of the sofa and maintain their tension. The seat cushions are layered, with either wadding or down as the top layer. Wadding maintains a firm shape, while down softens and conforms to the sitter – the same structure, two different feels. The back cushions are filled with either wadding or a feather-polyester chip mixture: they conform to the body and recover with a light fluffing. There are numerous upholstery options – from durable, easy-care fabrics to wool, linen, cotton, and leather. Each material brings its own nuance: the texture of the fabric, the play of light on the surface, the feel under your palm. On most models, the covers are removable. The fabric gives the sofa its final character. Every Deverk sofa is made entirely in Finland, with care and to last. Not to be replaced, but to be lived with.
