The same architectural design language as the BOX – now significantly scaled up. The BOX XL takes the precise geometry of the original model to a new level: a 100-centimeter seat depth and a 120-centimeter overall depth create a sofa that is more a lounging area than a traditional seat.

The exceptionally deep seat transforms the entire way it is used. You can sit, recline, or lie across the sofa – the abundant loose cushions allow for countless positions and make every moment unique. The frame, subtly elevated by slender wooden legs, lightens the mass and gives the large sofa an airy feel that one might not initially expect from its proportions.

BOX XL is a sofa for places where there's room to breathe – for spacious living rooms, loft apartments, and spaces where furniture can be as grand as its size and appearance. It's a sofa for those who don't just want to sit on a sofa, but to live in it.

Materials

The frame is made of plywood and softwood – materials that maintain their shape year after year. These form the invisible foundation of the sofa – the part that supports everything else. The seat’s base suspension is built with no-sag springs, which distribute weight evenly across the entire width of the sofa and maintain their tension. The seat cushions are layered, with either wadding or down as the top layer. Wadding maintains a firm shape, while down softens and conforms to the sitter – the same structure, two different feels. Back cushions are filled with either wadding or a feather-polyester chip mixture: they conform to the body and recover with a light fluffing. There are numerous upholstery options – from durable, easy-care fabrics to wool, linen, cotton, and leather. Each material brings its own nuance: the fabric's structure, the play of light on the surface, the feel under your palm. In most models, the covers are removable. The fabric gives the sofa its final character. Every Deverk sofa is made entirely in Finland, with care and to last. Not to be replaced, but to be lived with.
