Product description
ITO draws itself into the room as a single unbroken horizontal line. The low frame extends far, and the continuous seat runs from end to end without division — one line, one gesture. Thin, low arms frame the seat sparely, almost without being noticed, and a cylindrical bolster resting at each end softens an otherwise rectilinear form. Slender metal legs lift the frame clear of the floor, leaving the whole mass to settle above it as a single volume.
The seat depth is generous, and the continuous seat allows one to settle anywhere along its length — to sit, to stretch out, to lie the full measure of it. A soft but supportive fill carries the body, and the loose back and bolster cushions let the position be changed at will. The low arms do not close the seat in but leave it open, keeping the entire surface in use.
ITO is made for open, quiet rooms where a long horizontal line is given space to breathe. The gap beneath the legs lets light and floor run past the frame, and the long form stays light despite its measure. Amid restrained architecture, ITO takes its place without asserting itself — a piece that orders the room while leaving room to it. Its expression is understated: no ornament, nothing surplus, only one clean line and the calm it brings with it.
