IKO is a unified, low mass. The seat line runs unbroken from edge to edge, and wide armrests rise from it low and softly bevelled — without a sharp edge or a pronounced seam. The back stays a low line, rising above the armrests only by a hair. The frame rests on the floor under its own weight, the base withdrawn from view.

The seat is deep and split into two wide cushions; the low back supports loosely, not upright. The proportions are made for staying — for retreating, not perching. IKO carries everyday life without showing the wear.

IKO is finished on every side, the back included, so it settles as naturally in the middle of a room as against a wall. In an open space it doesn't decorate but defines — a focal point the room arranges itself around. The longer it stays in place, the more clearly it belongs there.

Materials

The sofa frame is made from plywood and softwood – materials that retain their shape year after year. The seat's base suspension is based on no-sag springs, ensuring consistent and long-lasting support across the entire width of the sofa. The layered construction of HR35/HR25 foam combined with a feather and fibre mix creates a seating experience that is both soft and supportive. The back cushions are filled with a feather mix – they conform to the body's shape and lightly fluff up when adjusted.

The standard upholstery for this collection is a washable synthetic fabric designed for active everyday use. All upholsteries are removable and easy to care for. If desired, you can also choose wool, linen, cotton, or genuine leather – the fabric is what gives your sofa its final character.

Every Deverk sofa is made entirely in Finland from high-quality materials. Responsibly and with care – because a good sofa deserves it.
