The frame is made of plywood and softwood – materials that maintain their shape year after year. They are the invisible foundation of the sofa – what supports everything else. The seat’s base suspension is built with no-sag springs, which distribute weight evenly across the entire width of the sofa and maintain their tension. The seat cushions have a layered structure, with either wadding or down as the top layer. Wadding maintains its upright shape, while down softens and conforms to the sitter – the same structure, two different feels. The back cushions are filled with either wadding or a mix of feather and polyester fiber: they conform to the body and recover with a light fluff. There are numerous upholstery options – from durable, easy-care fabrics to wool, linen, cotton, and leather. Each material brings its own nuance: the fabric's structure, the play of light on the surface, the feel under your palm. In most models, the covers are removable. The fabric gives the sofa its final character. Every Deverk sofa is made entirely in Finland, with care and built to last. Not to be replaced, but to be lived with.
